Intermediate products in the stabilization of phosphorus-32 recoil atoms in CCl/sub 4/-alkanol systems (trialkyl phosphites (/sup 32/P)) undergo Arbuzov reaction with CCl/sub 4/ and with HCl with the formation of dialkyl (trichloromethyl)phosphonates(/sup 32/P and dialkyl hydrogen phosphites (/sup 32/P) respectively.
