Importance of maintenance for lime flue gas desulfurization systems

The paper stresses the importance of a good programme of maintenance for the successful and reliable operation of a power plant FGD system. Wet and dry lime systems are used to illustrate the advantages of good maintenance and the consequences of poor maintenance.
