Elastic proton /sup 4/He scattering near 1 GeV. [Multiple diffraction theory]

A multiple diffraction theory approach to p-/sup 4/He scattering is described in which all relevant corrections to Glauber theory are incorported and in which the NN amplitudes are based as far as possible on experiment. Results are compared with five sets of p-/sup 4/He data. (SDF)
