National Energy Security Corporation. Hearings before the Subcommittee on Energy and Power of the Committee on Interstate and Foreign Commerce, House of Representatives, Ninety-Sixth Congress, First Session on H. R. 5045
Hearings on the proposed (H.R. 5045) to establish a National Energy Security Corporation to finance the development of domestic alternative energy sources included 27 witnesses. Testimony was heard on September 21 and 24 and on October 11 and 18, 1979. The bill provides federal assistance and outlines the kinds of alternative energy development which will be eligible for assistance and the ways in which the assistance will be given. The effects on the economy are explored and the question is raised by the Chairman of how the public can benefit from the rewards of successful energy development if it assumes the risks.
