Structure of the high-current relativistic electron beam formed by a coaxial gun with magnetic insulation

A numerical solution is reported for the problem of the formation of a high-current beam of relativistic electrons in a coaxial diode gun with magnetic insulation. The beam structure and other basic characteristics are analyzed in a comparison with experimental results and analytic solutions based on models.
