A direct method of producing an indene-coumarone fraction
When searching for methods of increasing the indene-coumarone fraction output at the Dnepropetrovsk By-Product Coking Plant, the possibility of obtaining it directly from a separating column using a lateral removal method was investigated. It was experimentally established that the indene-coumarone fraction vapors are for the most part concentrated on the fourth tray of a separating column. 180 tonnes of indene-coumarone fraction were obtained by the direct method in the rectification shop in two months after the corresponding change in the process system when what was planned for was 124 tonnes. Organizing a direct method of obtaining an indene-coumarone fraction made it possible to increase the output of the product, decrease energy-resource expenditure, decrease the material requirement of the production process, and ease the work of attendants.
