The authors seek to establish the role of central and peripheral opiate receptors in the antiulcerative action of Dalargin. Rats were used in the experiments. A separate experiment was undertaken to study the passage of Dalargin through the blood-brain barrier. For this, the rats were injected with /sup 3/H-D-Ala/sup 2/, D-leu/sup 5/-enkephalin (/sup 3/H-DADL). The suppression of /sup 3/H-DADL binding in medullar by peripherally injected Dalargin is shown.
