Journal Article · · Fueloil Oil Heat Sol. Syst.; (United States)
OSTI ID:5194517

A statistical study of fuel oil begins with a profile of users, 75% of which are located in the Eastern states and half the companies qualify as small companies. A series of tables summarizes the findings in terms of customers, consumption parallels with weather, operating costs, cash flow, and income. Other comparisons rank characteristics of customers, preferences for diesel, size of trucks, driver wages, driver income and cost per gallon, equipment sales, and heating installations by fuels. The final table illustrates the shift of oil customers to other fuels by region. 22 tables.
