Status of the following studies is reported: volcanic rocks, crystalline rocks, Pierre shale, Elena Formation, heat transfer/thermal analysis, waste/rock interaction, rock mechanics, borehole plugging, and shale and clay mineral studies. Facility projects reported on include shale in situ tests, dome salt in situ tests, canister transporter studies. Systems projects reported on include schedule and control systems development, waste canister envelope study, transportation/logistics study, and spent fuel study. (LK)
