Chemical analysis of plutonium

Research is reported on the determination of plutonium in PuO/sub 2/ samples from the Fuel Reprocessing Division by potentiometric titration. Areas studied include dissolution of sintered PuO/sub 2/,; estimation of Pu in UO/sub 2/ -- PuO/sub 2/ mixtures, Pu-- Al alloy, and Pu-- Ga alloy; and accuracy of the potentiometric method of estimating plutonium.
