Microdosimetry in electron beams

The concept of microdosimetry and its possible application for use in high energy electron beams are presented. Some of the quantities used in microdosimetry are presented. and their possible use in radiobiology and radiation dosimetry is discussed. The experimental problems in microdosimetry measurements with electrons are discussed very briefly. Finally. some preliminary results are given, and their possible use in the evaluation of relative biological efficiency and dose fractionation studies is discussed. (auth)
