The pure liquids C/sub 3/F/sub 8/, C/sub 4/F/sub 10/, SF/sub 6/, C/sub 2/ ClF/sub 5/, CB rF/sub 3/, and TeF/sub 6/, as well as binary mixtures of the substances, were found to have very desirable properties for use in large bubble chambers for studying decay modes of elementary particles. (auth)
