CORROSION INVESTIGATION OF INOR-8 UNDER FLUORINATION CONDITIONS

A study was made on corrosion of INOR-8 specimens and welds subjected to a Fi sparge in NaF-LiF-ZrF/sub 4/ at 500 deg C in the presence of UF/sub 4/. At the end of 148 hr exposure, the specimens were examined; no accelerated attack or intergranular attack was observed. The results are compared with other work. (D.L.C.)
