14.7-Mev NEUTRON-INDUCED FISSION OF U$sup 23$$sup 8$

Fission yields of twelve mass chains from I4-Mev neutron-induced fission of U/sup 238/ are measured with the following results: A = 89, 2.0%; 90, 3.4%; 91, 2.l6%; 111, yield curve in the region A = 131 to 135 is observed with a distinct peak at A = I32. The data can be explained at least qualitatively, and agrees with the fine structure observed for U/sup 238/ spontaneous fission. (auth)
