A Ritron-type magnetic spectrometer was used in an investigation of the angular distribution of photoelectrons knocked from thin layers (0.05 mg cm/sup - 2) of silver and bismuth by Cs/sup 137/ gamma rays. The experimental data are correlated with theory. (R.V.J.)
