The internal conversion coefficients for some Yb/sup 171/ transitions were measured by the photoconversion method. Two nuclear transitions, 668.2 and 740.9 kev, were determined. The conversion electron and photoelectron spectra are plotted. The ratio K/sub 668.2//K/sub 740.9/ = 0.29 plus or minus 0.01; the gamma relative intensities = 0.26 plus or minus 0.03. In a previously suggested Lu/sup 171/ decay scheme, the transition 668.2 kev is placed between 7/ 2/sup -/ and 9/2/sup +/ and the 740.9 kev transition is found between 7/2/sup -/ and 7/2/sup +/ and 9/2/sup -/ and 7/2/sup -/. The obtained re sults are in good agreement for the 668.2 kev transition and for
