THE CHARACTER OF THE 1315 KEV STATE IN Yb$sup 17$$sup 4$

Journal Article · · Nuclear Phys.
The electron capture decay of Lu/sup 174/ populating levels of 76.5 and l3l5 kev in Yb/sup 174/ was re-investigated. A measurement of the K-conversion coefficient of the 1238 plus or minus 7-kev transition was made, and a directional correlation measurement performed on the l238 to 76.5-kev cascade. The data were consistent with an assignment of 2/sup -/ for the l3l5-kev level in Yb/sup 174/. (auth)
