ANALYTICAL METHOD FOR THE DETERMINATION OF FLUORIDE IN URANIUM ORE CONCENTRATES

The sample is dissolved in sulfuric acid and the fluoride distilled and collected in sodium hydroxide solution. A suitable aliquot of the distillate is adjusted by pH 3.0 and titrated with thorium nitrate solution using alizarin red S as indicator. (P.C.H.)
