USE OF A C.D.G. 100 CHANNEL KICKSORTER AS A MULTIPLE SCALER

Two methods of using a C.D.C. 100-channel kicksorter as a multiple scaler in sequential counting operations are described. The first method requires kicksorter modification and provides 100 scalers each with a 65536-count storage capacity with a dead time of 45 to 60 mu sec. The second method requires the same modification to the kicksorter and an additional unit which scales down the input signals producing a dead time of 2 mu sec and a storage capacity of 6, 553, and 600 in each scaler.
