LEUCON (ADENINE DERIVATIVE) APPLIED TO RADIATION BLOOD INJURIES

Journal Article · · Gan No Rinsho (Japan)
OSTI ID:4817871
Leucon (adenine derivative) was applied tn the treatment of 9 patients whose leukocytes were markedly decreased in numbers. No ill effects were observed. The administration of 40 mg of leucon every day had a favorable effect on the leukopenia, whereas a larger dose of it would be needed for the more intensely irradiated cases. In some cases, leucon rather increased the number of leukoeytes beyond the normal level. There was no difference in the effect of the per os and intravenous administration of leucon. (Abstr.
