A slight increase of the 17 OH-CS content in the blood was immediately observed 1 hr after irradiation, and a gradual increase 2 hr after irradiation. A temporary deerease of the eosinophile leukocyte counts in the peripheral blood was also observed during this time. From 2 days to one week after irradiation the 17 OH-CS contents showed a gradual decrease. This was considered to be due to exhaustion of the suprarenal system. (Abstr. Japan Med., 1. No. l5, 1961)
