The evaluation of Phase II solid round extrusions of wrought and east Mo --Ti --C --Zr alloy (TZM) was completed. The extrusions were characterized by a wide difference in microstructure from front to back and by the lack of a uniformly strain-hardened structure. Creep-rupture tests of forged TZM in the recrystallized condition were completed at 2000, 2400, and 3000 deg F in vacuum. TZM billet stock was hot forged to extrusion billet size with a uniform, fine grain macrostructure. (auth)
