Data are tabulated on the radioactivity in samples of air, water, milk, and food other than milk collected throughout the world and analyzed during Dec. 1961. Data are also included on radiation producing machines in New Jersey in 1961, the radioactivity in samples of animal foods analyzed during 1960, and environmental radioactivity during 1961 at Argonne National Laboratory, Atomics International, Canoga Park, Calif., National Lead Co., Fernald, Ohio, and Cape Thompson, Alaska. Data are included on announced nuclear detonations of the USSR and the U.S. during Nov. and Dec. 1961. (C.H.)
