The molecular compositions of uranyl bromides, nitrates, and acetates, with tri-n-butylphosphinic oxide in solutions were determined. It is shown that molecular coordination of TBP and TBPO is identical and can be achieved through the phosphoryl oxygen. It is also shown that the uranyl coordination number in the Uo/sub 2/Br/sub 2/ (TBPO)/sub 2/ complex and in similar complexes with TBP is 4. The energy aspects of mutual addends in uranyl coordination are analyzed. (R.V.J.)
