A Zr alloy which has enhanced corrosion resistance to CO/sub 2/ at high temperatures consists of 0.5 to 1.5 wt% Cu, 0.25to 1.5 wt% W, and balance Zr and impurities. Data are tabulated for the weight gain of this alloy in CO/sub 2/ at 700 deg C as compared to other Zr alloys. (D.L.C.)
