ABS>A heat exchange device in a nuclear power plant is described that comprises a double-walled reactor vessel, a double-walled heat exchanger casing, and two coaxial ducts connecting the vessel with the casing, so that the inner duct connects the two inner spaces, while the outer duct connects the outer spaces. In the inner duct hot gas flows from the reactor to the heat exchanger, while it returns to the reactor through the annular space between the two ducts. Preferably the inner duct comprises a telescopic tubular system, allowing its expansion or contraction. It can be centered inside the outer duct by cross pieces which may axially slide inside the outer duct. (NPO)
