Activities in an investigation of band structure in selected pure metals are reported. Techniques used in the investigation were the de Haas-Van Alphen effect in conjunction with a cyclotron resonance, and galvanomagnetic effects such as the variation with magnetic field strength of electric field components parallel and transverse to the electric current in the limit of high magnetic field.
