Rebuilding of the de Haas-van Alphen effect apparatus is reported. A lead sample was used in the initial trial and a photographic recording of the observations was made. The rebuilding work included construction of a 150- kilooersted field magnet, design of the Dewar and supporting structure, oscillographic equipment improvement, noise level reduction, and pickup coil circuit revision. Data from oscillograms of the de Haas-van Alphen effect in lead are included. (J.R.D.)
