The analysis of the absorption spectra of IR radiation shows no sensible difference between the microstructures of samples of polyisoprene obtained by irradiating at -196 and 25 deg C either pure isoprene or isoprene in solution in CCl/sub 4/. This result shows the radical character of the radiochemical polymerization of pure isoprene. (tr-auth)
