KINETIC STUDY OF THE RADIOCHEMICAL POLYMERIZATION OF ISOPRENE (in French)

Journal Article · · Compt. Rend.
OSTI ID:4055363
The kinetics of the polymerization of pure and degassed isoprene by gamma radiation was studied between --196 and 40 deg C. The results can be explained by a superposition of two independent mechanisms of polymerization (monomolecular and bimolecular termination). The mechanism of monomolecular termination is probably cationic, while the bimolecular termination is a radical process. (tr-auth)
