IMPROVEMENTS RELATING TO A DISTRIBUTION DEVICE SERVED BY HOISTING MEANS

Patent ·
OSTI ID:4806212
A distribution device ie described that comprises several vertical ducts that give passage to elements handled by a winch, so that these elements may temporarily be stocked in the ducts while the winch is being used for handling other things (e.g., another element). Preferably these vertical ducts constitute cells of a rotatable magazine and may be brought successively into alignment with the path of the winch, which is preferably positioned above the magazine. In order to fix an element in a cell, a floor plate pivotally mounted on the cell wall is turned into horizontal position so that it forms a support, on which a shoulder of the element to be stocked can rest. Each cell is provided with a drive gear for the control of movement of the floor plate. This gear is coupled, in the position of alignment of cell and winch, with a driving axle mounted in the casing structure in which the magazine is placed. (NPO)
