Further developments and extensions in the ultracentrifugation technique for determining the molecular weights of metal chelate compounds are described. Additional experimenal work on uranyl complexes in solution was completed. A number of complexes were studied at different temperatures and the heats and entropies of complex formation were calculated. The equilibrium studies of other uranyl complexes were extended to a wider concentration range, and their tendencies to polymerize were determined. lncomplete studies of the thermodynamics of formation of incompletely-coordinated lanthanide complexes are described in outline form.
