ABS>Work on HWCTR end cap brazing is reported in the evaluation of a method of tube immersion in the solution used for chemical recessing of tube ends. Other work is reported on the elimination of voids in the braze layer. Means of preventing black layer formation on Zircaloy during tube end recessing is reported. Initial work was begun on the optimization of Al--Si--U alloys. (J.R.D.)
