PRECIPITATION OF MICROQUANTITIES OF Th$sup 234$ WITH URANIUM OXALATE (in Russian)

The precipitation of Th/sup 234/ with uranium oxalate from saturated solutions follows a logarithmic distribution formula. The distribution coefficient lambda increases with increased oxalate concentration. The isomorphous system )/sub 2/ has more stable mixed crystals than the previously studied non-isomorphous system Ce (III)-- U(C/sub 2/O/sub 4/)/sub 2/. A method is developed for separating Th/sup 234/ from uranium based on the precipitation. (R.V.J.)
