An H/sub 3/P/sup 32/PO/sub 4/ solution and a Ca/sup 45/ Cl/sub 2/ solution in the same cpm were mixed together to a total count of 500 cpm and administered to I00 mice. The similar Ca/P ratio in cpm was favorable to the study because of the good balance of P and Ca in the blood and bone. After the surface irradiation by UV rays of various wave lengths with a single dose of 5 w/ cm/sup 2/ the amounts of P and Ca in bone and blood were increased 6 hr after exposure. The Ca/P ratio showed a greater decrease ln cases of 25 w irradiation than in cases of 5 w. As to the P and Ca metabolism in the blood and bone, the influence of a wave length of 315 m mu was more effective than that of 360 m mu . (Abstr. Japan Med., 1: No.
