Cells in the lymph and bone marrow pictures of 3-monthold rabbits were studied following the injection of 100 and 300 mu c/kg and 1 mc/kg of P/sup 32/, respectively. The number of cells in the lymph changed parallel with the number of lymphocytes in the peripheral blood which recovered prior to the former's recovery. A mean value of mitochondria of lymphocytes in the lymph showed marked decrease immediately after the injection in all cases. The degeneration, destruction, and developmental disturbance of lymphocytes were evident, and their recovery became slow proportionately to the amount or P/sup 32/. These changes were almost parallel to changes of lymphocyte mitochondria in the peripheral blood. The neutrophilic red granules of lymphocyte in the lymph changed proportionately to the amount of administration of P/sup 32/, this change did not agree with a change of the neutrephllic red granules of the lymphocytes in the peripheral blood. The degree of damage to bone marrow was proportionate to the administered dose. The nuclear cell count was increased at 100 mu c/kg, increased, after an initial decrease, at 300 mu c/kg, and recovered, after a marked decrease, at 1 mc/kg. The leukocytic cell count recovered after gradual decrease at 1 mc/kg. The bone marrow and peripheral blood pictures were not always parallel. The differential count of the leukocytic cells showed a decrease in all 3 groups, but the young bone marrow cells were damaged severely. The promyeloblast was more sensitive than the myeloblast.
