SAMPLING VALVE FOR REACTOR COOLANT
Technical Report
·
OSTI ID:4798020
A prototype valve was developed to sample streams of coolant from a nuclear reactor. This valve samples eleven separate flow streams and connects them sequentially to a common output line to reduce the number of monitors required to locate a fuel element rupture. The switch was designed to operate up to a temperature of 340 deg C and a pressure of 900 psi. A preliminary test under laboratory conditions indicated that satisfactory performance under process conditions could be expected, after minor modifications. (auth)
