IMPROVEMENTS RELATING TO SELECTOR VALVES FOR NUCLEAR REACTORS

Patent ·
OSTI ID:4810514

A selector valve is designed for selectively coupling the fuel channels of a gas-cooled reactor to a sampling device for testing channel coolant streams for radioactivity. The valve comprises a valve body with rows of spaced inlet and outlet ports, all leading into a common outlet passage, a selector member, means for moving the selector member and for putting two ports into communication with each other via a bridging conduit, and means for closing the other ports.
