Radioprotective Effect of Combinations of AET or Cysteamine with Dimethyl Sulphoxide

Journal Article · · International Journal of Radiation Biology and Related Studies in Physics, Chemistry and Medicine

Combinations of 2-aminoethylisothiourea (AET) or cysteamine with dimethyl sulfoxide were shown to have a synergistic effect in the protection of mice against radiation injury when administered 30 min before x ray exposure, Dimethyl sulfoxide with AET was most effective.
