CALCIUM-47 AND STRONTIUM-85 TRACER STUDIES AS A GUIDE TO ISOTOPE THERAPY OF BONE METASTASES

Journal Article · · Radiology (U.S.)
OSTI ID:4795994
Preliminary results of Ca/sup 47/ and Sr/sup 85/ kinetic and local uptake studies in patients with bone metastases as a possible guide to isotope therapy are presented. The findings suggest thst patients who do not have a significant differential uptake of isotope in the areas of the lesions will not benefit from treatment with isotopes. Ca/sup 47/ proved to be an effective therapeutic agent in a patient with widespread osseous mammary metastases unresponsive to endocrine therapy. (auth)
