FURTHER $gamma$-SPECTROSCOPIC INVESTIGATIONS ON THE DECAY SCHEME OF I$sup 13$$sup 1$

Journal Article · · Nuclear Phys.
Problematic points in the decay scheme of I/sup 131/ were studied using scintillation and coincidence techniques. The gamma at 156 and 210 kev were spurious. The long known gamma at 177 kev which does not fit into the decay scheme was in coincidence with a ray at 326 plus or minus 10 kev. The intensity of this is approximately 0.2% in relation to the gamma at 364 kev. From the level 500 plus or minus 10-kev energy corresponding to the sum of the two revious rays in cascade, a cross-over transition occurs a so with a relative intensity of 0.8 plus or minus 0.2%. It was found that in parallel with the direct transition of 364 kev only the cascade of 50 to 284 kev is present. (auth)
