MEASUREMENT OF THE DECAY SCHEME OF I$sup 13$$sup 1$ (in German)

Journal Article · · Nuclear Physics (Netherlands) Divided into Nucl. Phys. A and Nucl. Phys. B
The decay scheme of I/sup 131/ was examined with the help of different types of scintillation spectrometers and a magnetic spectrometer. In addition to the already known gamma transitions a 644-80 kev gamma -cascade transition was observed. The intensity of the 644-kev gamma -radiation is 0.22 plus or minus 0.04% relative to that or the 364 kev gamma radiation. It was also observed that the 507 kev gamma radiation occurs in coincidence with a BETA component, whose maximum energy iies between 246 and 332 kev. A new decay scheme is proposed. (auth)
