A fast reactor core support is designed with means for inserting and withdrawing fissile material for control purposes. The support comprises star- shaped fuel element support and locating plates, inner and outer skirts, division plates for dividing the spaces between the skirts into sectors, and means for moving control fuel element carrier frames into and out from the sectors.
