CONTROL DEVICE FOR A CHARGING CHUTE FOR NUCLEAR REACTORS
An articulated charging chute for nuclear reactors, which is placed into a charging hole and serves a group of reactor channels, is provided with means for bringing the lower end of the charging chute over the exit of each channel. The chute is composed of an upper tubular portion rotatably mounted in the charging hole, and a lower tubular portion, pivotally mounted at the lower end of the upper portion and linked with a third tubular piece axially sliding on the upper portion, so that this axial displacement determines the lateral position of the lower portion of the chute. The third tubular piece is provided with an outer thread engaging a screw-nut, so that the rotation of this nut induces the axial displacement of the threaded tubular piece. A system of coaxial tools is provided such that each of these tools may control the movement of a given tubular piece of the described charging chute, via lugs supported by these tools and engaging profiled grooves in the inner walls of the tubular pieces.
