THE TOXICITY OF RADIO-STRONTIUM

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4781533
Results are reviewed from studies on the effects of Sr/sup 90/ on the life span and incidence of tumors in mice. Life shortening occurred after the injection of 44 mu c/kg and lymphosarcoma occurred in greatest number and at earlier age after the injection of 88 mu c/kg. A statistically significant increase in osteogenic sarcoma was not observed when less than 200 mu c/kg was injected. (C.H.)
