INVESTIGATION OF THE DOSE DISTRIBUTION IN THE IRRADIATION OF CERVICAL CARCINOMA

Journal Article · · Geburtsh. Frauenheilk.
OSTI ID:4779971

Advantages of Ra implantation over percutaneous x irradiation in the treatment of cervical carcinoma are discussed. By a Ra technique employing 90 mg Ra (6000 mghr) and cylindrical filters it was possible to deliver plus or minus 30,000 r to the primary tumor. Radiation doses to the ureters, urinary bladder, rectum, and adjacent structures were determined under various conditions. (H.H.D.)
