EXTRACTION-LUMINESCENCE METHOD FOR THE DETERMINATION OF URANIUM IN SOILS, SILT, PLANTS AND ANIMAL TISSUES (in Russian)

A simple and satisfactorily accurate method was developed for the determination of uranium in soils, silt, plants, and biological materials, including its preliminary separation from interfering elements by extraction with a solution of tributyl phosphate in toluene from solutions containing ammonium nitrate as a salting out agent at pH 2.5--3.0. Uranium is stripped from the extract with an ammonium carbonate solution, NaF is added to the strip solution, it is evaporated to dryness and ignited at 500 deg , and the concentration of uranium is determined by luminescence intensity of the beads prepared. When a photoelectric luminescence photometer is applied, the error of the determination of (auth)
