QUANTITATIVE METHOD FOR THE DETERMINATION OF URANIUM BY MEANS OF LUMINESCENCE IN PHOSPHATE SOLUTIONS (in Russian)

A sensitive method was developed for the quantitative determination of uranium by means of luminescence in phosphoric acid solutions. The method includes the preliminary separation of uranium from extinguishing admixtures by complexing them with EDTA, the extraction of uranium with the tributyl phosphate solution in carbon tetrachloride (with calcium nitrate), followed by the reextraction of uranium into the aqueous phase with the phosphoric acid solution. The uranium content was determined by the luminescence intensity of the re- extract obtained. (auth)
