NEUTRON FLUX MEASUREMENTS USING DYSPROSIUM DETECTORS

Journal Article · · J. Nuclear Energy, Pts. A & B. Reactor Sci. and Technol.
A simple method is described which permits measurements of thermal neutron flux using dysprosium foils. The epithermal component is measured using the dysprosium foils and another foil detector having an appreciable resonance cross section, e.g., gold or indium. This method was used in the calibration of the lsrael swimming pool-type research reactor at Nahal Sorek. (auth)
