PERIODICAL ELECTROSTATICAL FIELDS IN ELECTRON PLASMA (in Russian)

A nonlinear kinetic equation approximation was derived for a periodic electrostatic field in an electron plasma. The distribution function is suitable only for the case of a periodic field. Maximum amplitudes were found for a self- congruent field and for the potential of a plasma with small and large relative beam velocities. Expressions are developed for spatial periods in weak fields. The results were generalized for constant velocity wave distribution. (tr-auth)
